Quarters
of local notables, Cimiez became the winter
residence of kings, aristocrats, and upper
class persons. Parks and gardens exhibiting
luxuriance of the Mediterranean vegetation,
remarkable museums, luxury hotels, now restored,
modernized and turned into co-ownerships,
reflect splendour and opulence of Belle Epoque,
which remain the spirit of this residential
area of Nice. |
